What's your favorite thing about Sunday?
It's not Monday. Yet.
And that brings me to my least favorite thing about Sunday; it's almost Monday. Unless of course Monday is a holiday, then Sunday is like a second Saturday.
Which of The Ten Commandments have you broken or would you consider breaking? Why?
Submitted by balderick24.
I'm pretty sure I've already broken all of them with the exception of killing and adultry. I take the Lord's name in vain on a regular basis, and I haven't kept holy the sabbath in years, etc. Technically I
"steal" music on a regluar basis, though I like to think of it as the Internet giving me a gift. Plus, if I'm downloading an album that I own on CD, but happens to be in a storage unit in America at the moment, that isn't really stealing, because I've already paid for it.
So yeah, I am a sinner.
What part of your childhood do you miss the most?
Submitted by Maretta.
The total lack of responsibility. That, and playing with toys.
What question do you hate being asked?
"What are you thinking?"
I'm not sure exactly why being asked that bugs me so much, but it really does. Probably because I am not good at saying "no", so if someone asks me what I'm thinking, and I don't want to tell them (which seems to be the case when this question is asked) I feel guilty about it.
It brings to mind an exchange near the end of Saving Private Ryan between Private Ryan (Matt Damon) and Captain Miller(Tom Hanks):
Captain Miller: Well when I think of home, I... I think of something specific. I think of my, my hammock in the backyard or my wife pruning the rosebushes in a pair of my old work gloves.
Private Ryan: [monolog about him and his brothers]... Tell me about your wife and those rosebushes?
Captain Miller: No, no that one I save just for me.
I would never be able to be so blunt about not wanting to tell someone my thoughts.
What do you find interesting or unique about your family history?
I have both Japanese and Swedish ancestory; my mother's maternal grandfather was from Japan, and his wife was from Sweden. They met at Ellis Island.
Who was the last person you offended?
Submitted by May.
Probably the last person I interacted with.
What were your New Year's resolutions for 2006? How did you do?
I don't recall making a New Year's resolution for 2006, or what it was if I did make one. However, I have already made a New Year's resolution for 2007, and it consists of two options: Option A, or Option B, which is kill a whole bunch of people. I prefer Option A, but either way, 2007 should be an interesting year.
What was your very first job?
Submitted by Laurel.
My first job was working as a parcel pick up clerk for Mars Supermarket. I was the guy who stood out in front of the store and helped people load their groceries into their cars. It pretty much sucked any time the weather was bad. Oppressive heat and/or humidity, freezing cold, rain, snow; I was out there in all of it. A lot of people tipped me though, which was nice.
I had that job for almost five years; from my senior year in high school until the summer preceding my final year in college. All things considered, it really wasn't a bad place to work if you're going to be in the grocery business. They had decent pay and benefits, even for part-timers. Hell, I worked at my first full-time tech job for over a year before I even got medical benefits or paid time off.
As much as I disliked my stint as a grocery store employee at the time, it really was not a bad gig in retrospect.
What gameshow or reality show would you kick butt on?
I don't think it's on any more, but when VH1 used to air Rock & Roll Jeopardy, I would've seriously p0wned some n00bs on that show.
Though, as much as I dislike his band, I have to bow to Mark McGrath's knowledge of rock music trivia. He was on the show twice and kicked everyone's ass both times.
What's the most memorable building you've lived in?
Submitted by Shelly.
Frankly every place that I've lived thus far in my existence has been pretty ordinary. Nothing really stands out about any of my residences.
But, if I had to pick one place, I'd say the house where I grew up in Dundalk, MD. The thing that's memorable about it is the large, finished basement. Great for playing guitar late at night when everyone else is sleeping.
